2012 AAU Tryout, Open Gym & Skill Development Program Info:
Dear Players, Coaches & Parents:
Basketball Stars of America AAU is excited to announce AAU Tryout Dates & Times for their 5th Year of Spring AAU Basketball. 2012 Spring AAU
Tryouts begin the weekend of February 4th & 5th. Prior to the Tryouts, Basketball Stars of America will be hosting AAU Open Gyms on Sundays
throughout the month of January at Sewickley Academy (beginning this Sunday, January 8th). Basketball Stars of America will also be hosting a great series
of Skill Development Programs including Basketball Boot Camps, Skill Academies and "BSA Elite" Workouts on Sundays from now through March at
Sewickley Academy. These Open Gyms and Skill Development Programs are designed help players prepare for AAU Tryouts as well as the AAU Season
and improve their overall Basketball Skills. You may register online, by mail or at the door for all of these and other BSA events. Basketball Stars of
America is also offering Individual (1 on 1) and Small Group Workouts on these dates. Call 412-400-1320 to set one up.
Basketball Stars of America will also be hosting "BSA Elite" Workouts at Hillcrest Christian Academy in Bethel Park (Thursdays & Sundays in January and
Saturdays in February & March), at Kiski (Prep) School in Saltsburg (Mondays & Wednesdays in January and Saturdays in February & March) and at
Family First Sports Park in Erie (Prior to Tryouts in February & March). BSA will also be hosting an MLK Day AAU Basketball Camp for 1st through 12th
Grade Boys and Girls on Monday, January 16th at Hillcrest Christian Academy. The cost of the MLK Day Camp is $75 per camper and the camp runs
from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
The 2012 AAU Tryout Fee is $40 if you pre-register by January 31, 2012 and $50 after that. You may pre-register Online, By Mail or In Person. The cost
for Open Gyms, Boot Camps, Skills Academies and "BSA Elite" Workouts is $35 per session or $150 for 5 sessions, $250 for 10 sessions or $400 for 20
Sessions. You may mix and match these!

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - AAU Open Gym for Boys in 1st through 4th Grade & Boys in 5th & 6th Grade
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - AAU Open Gym for Boys in 7th & 8th Grade & Boys in 9th through 12th grade
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm - AAU Open Gym for Girls in 3rd through 6th Grade & Girls in 7th & 8th Grade & Girls in 9th through 12th grade
AAU Open Gym Info: Players will be separated by Age/Grade using multiple gyms. Open Gyms will include 1 hour of high level skill work led by top BSA
Coaches followed by 1 hour of competition. This is a great way to prepare for AAU Season and improve.
*The AAU Open Gyms will run at the same time as the BSA Winter Leagues.

AAU Skill Development Program Info: Programs will include high level skill work led by top BSA Coaches. Players are generally broken up by age/ability
during these programs. Many of these programs focus on one area of skills, while others work on overall skill development. This is a great way to prepare
for AAU Season and improve your skills.

2012 Basketball Stars of America Spring AAU Tryout Schedule:
In 2012, Basketball Stars of America will be hosting their Spring AAU Tryouts at 4 fantastic sites. They are Sewickley Academy in Sewickley, Hillcrest
Christian Academy in Bethel Park, Kiski (Prep) School in Saltsburg and Family First Sports Park in Erie. We will also be using these as our main practice
sites this season. Players and their parents may choose which of these sites they would like to practice at. Please look below for Tryout Dates and Times.
*Cost of tryouts is $40 per player if pre-registered by January 31, 2012 and $50 per player if registering after that. This is a one-time fee and players may
attend as many tryouts as they would like to. We prefer players attend at least 2 tryouts and encourage players to attend as many as possible, however only
1 is necessary. All players who attend tryouts will be notified via email within 2 weeks of their first tryout whether they made a team. If they do make a team,
the tryout fee will go towards their season tuition. Many players prepare for their tryouts and the upcoming season by doing the AAU Open Gyms, Boot
Camps, Academies, Elite Workouts and other Development Programs throughout the next 3 months including all tryout days.. There is an extra cost of $35
per player for each of these sessions (You may also purchase 5 sessions for $150, 10 sessions for $250 or 20 sessions for $400).
We are expecting over 1,000 Basketball Players to try out for Basketball Stars of America this spring! To avoid long lines, we are asking everybody to pre-
