6'4" Guard - Class of 2011

Hester has led West Mifflin to a 9-1
record, with two section wins this
week over Keystone Oaks and
Elizabeth Forward. Hester scored 32
and 31 points respectively in the two
wins.

Matt Nozska -
Chartiers Valley HS

6'3" Guard - Class of 2011

Nozka led Chartiers Valley to two section
wins this week, and a 9-2 overall record.
He scored 31 points which included his
1,000 career point in a 100-71 victory
over Bethel Park. He also scored 19
points in a 90-69 win over Baldwin.

Devon Cottrell-
Gateway HS

6'7" Forward - Class of 2011

Cottrell helped lead Gatweway to wins
over McKeesport and Woodland Hills
this week. He had a triple double with
20 points, 20 rbs, and 11 blocks
against McKeesport, and a double
double with 33 points and 10 rbs
against Woodland Hills.
Week of 1/16-1/22
Micah Mason
Highlands HS
6'2" Guard- Class of 2012

Mason lead his team to three victories this
week over Valley, Thomas Jefferson, and
Kittanning, and has his team with a 9-1
record atop of AAA Section 1. He scored
101 points this week. He had the jaw
dropping 64 point performance against
Valley, and double doubles against both TJ
and Kittanning with 27 pts 13 assts, and 20
points 12 assts. respectively.

Sheldon Jeter
Beaver Falls HS
6'6" Guard- Class of 2012

Jeter led his team to 4 victories this
week, and has led his team to 9 straight
wins since his return. This week he had
26 points twice against Avonworth on
Wednesday and Friday, 31 points against
Northgate, and 25 in a huge win against
Gateway in the Pittsburgh Hoops Classic.
According to a source, Jeter also
obtained scholarship offers from Temple,
St. Joes, and Penn State this week.

Josh Valentic
Trinity HS
6'3" Guard- Class of 2011

Valentic led his teams to three section wins
heading into the playoffs. The focal point of
every team's defensive scheme, he scored 31
points in a win over Waynesburg, 31 points in
a win over Ringgold, and 34 points in a win
over Washington. Valentic recently became the
all time leading scorer in Trinty HS basketball
history, and verbally committed to Division 2
Wheeling Jesuit University on Saturday.
Week of 2/6-2/13
Anthony Dallier
North Allegheny HS
6'6" Guard- Class of 2012

Dallier led his teams to two wins this week
including a first round playoff win over
Woodland Hills. Dallier scored 32 points in a
win over AAA #3 seed Blackhawk on
Monday, and scored 23 points on Saturday
against Woodland Hills. Dallier finished the
regular season averaging 25.1 ppg.

Jesse Reed
Greensburg Central Catholic
6'5" Guard- Class of 2011

Reed led his #1 seeded Centurions to 2
playoff wins this week against Carlynton
and Summit Academy. Reed had 24 points
in the win over Carlynton, and 25 points in
the win over Summit Academy. He also had
the game winning three point shot with 3.2
seconds to go and his team down by 1,
against Summit Academy.

John Bray
Vincention
6'5" Guard/Forward- Class of 2011

Bray led his team to three victories this
week including the Class A Championship
over Lincoln Park. He scored 18 points last
Saturday against Serra Catholic, 31 points
Tuesday against Clairton, and 21 points
against Lincoln Park in the championship
game.
Week of 2/28/3/5
Paul Lang
Mt. Lebanon
6'5" Forward- Class of 2011

Lang led his team to two PIAA playoff wins
this week over Schenley and State College.
Lang scored 30 points in the win over
Schenley and scored 24 points in the win
over State College. Lang is signed a
scholarship to play football at Michigan
State University.

* Note: Teammate Evan Eaton scored 24
points in both Mt. Lebanon victories as well.
Week of 3/6-3/13
Devontae Watson
Lincoln Park HS
6'10" Forward- Class of 2012

Watson led Lincoln Park to two victories
this week over Elk County Catholic and
Clairton, advancing his team to the PIAA A
semifinals. He had a ridiculous 31 pts 21
rbs and 11 bks against Elk County Catholic,
and then followed that up with 19 pts 15
rbs and 10 blks against Clairton. I don't
know when a player had back to back
triple-doubles in the PIAA playoffs.
Week of 3/14-3/20
THE WPIAL

Even though no boys team's ended up
winning the state championship, to have at
least one WPIAL team representing in each
of the PIAA State Championshp games is
very significant. Lincoln Park (A),
Greensburg Central Catholic (AA), Montour
(AAA), and Mt. Lebanon (AAAA) all
represent the basketball culture that is
continuing to build in Western
Pennsylvania. Congratulations to all of the

Champions!
